 It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahanin
memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal
 The Taj Mahal is widely recognized as "the
jewel of Muslim art in India

Chichen Itza
 The Chichen Itza is located in Yucatan, Mexico
 It was built by Maya people in between the
9th and 12th centuries
 It is also known as El Castillo (Spanish for
castle)
 Chichen Itza means At the mouth of the well
of the Itza.

Christ the Redeemer (statue)
 Christ the Redeemer is closest to Rio De
Janeiro, Brazil
 Christ the Redeemer was constructed
between 1922 and 1931
 It was made from 60,000 pieces of stone
 About 100 people contributed to make it

The Colosseum
 The Colosseum is located in Rome, Italy
 It was built in 70-80AD
 It was built by Vespasian and Titus
 It is also called the Flavian Amphitheatre
 The Colosseum is in the centre of Rome

 The Great Wall of China was made to protect
the Chinese empire from other military forces
 It was built in the 7th century BC
 It is visible on the moon and in low earth orbit
 It was made of stone, brick, earth, wood, and
other materials

The Machu Picchu
 The Machu Picchu is located in Peru
 It was built in about 1400
 In January 2010, Machu Picchu flooded which
trapped more than 2,000 local people and
more than 2,000 tourists. Machu Picchu was
closed temporarily, but it reopened on 1 April
2010
 It is sometimes called the City of the Incas

Jordan
 It was made in 1200Bc
 It lies on the slope of Mount Hor
 It remained unknown to the western world
until 1812
