This document outlines the key topics to be covered in a text about applied arts and international business. It will begin by defining relevant terms and discussing state of the art technologies like animation, audio, and CAD. Then it will explore the foundation bases of culinary arts, fashion, and film. Following this, it will address interacting inter-culturally within fields like game design, graphic design, and illustration. The document also mentions covering business components and considerations from a global emphasis, as well as topics within interior design, multimedia, photography, production, and web design. It concludes with a question and answer section.

(introduction slide) Science tells us the continental plates have been together more than once; to make super continents (Ur, Vaalbara, Kenorland, Columbia, Pannotia, Rodinia, Gondwanaland and, most recently, Pangaea). However, for the first time, one of the life forms (Man) has superseded the tectonic movement and has created one world in its own way; and business is what drives it. Business has proven a greater persuasion than most individual country politics; and even a greater argument than pandemics or other disasters. Global business has us all glued together; and I imagine we aint seen nothing yet. In no manner do I present this material as a substitute for the larger conversation that is the study of International Business. Much the same way the applied arts cannot be summed up effectively in one text. This is presented as a comprehensive survey marrying the two larger conversations. Consequently, as your major finds you in development for a series of courses; so, too, as the need arises for specificity you will naturally want to pursue knowing more about a given aspect of business. There is no other survey of this kind that Im aware of and there seems a need. Altogether, so much of the applied arts, (like much of business), is having to interact globally. There are common needs here; and so this survey may be a long time coming. The author remains open for contribution toward future development of the text; offering this first edition with humility.
