Our visit to A. Bros Piteni S.A. on May 7th, 2018 involved touring their facilities where we observed their vegetable processing, packaging, condiment production, fish processing, storage, and refrigeration areas. We were given protective gear and briefed on the company's history. Students found that the company pays good wages, maintains clean facilities, exports products worldwide, and the employees seemed devoted. Many said they would like to work there due to the positive work environment and culture of respect.

Who is A. Bros Piteni S.A.? It is one of the largest manufacturers and food marketing companies in Greece www.pitenis.gr
Our visit step-by-step We were given cotton caps, shoe covers and aprons to put on
Our visit step-by-step We were given a short introduction about the history of the company
Our visit step-by-step We were taken to the section were vegetables are gathered, cleaned and boiled
Our visit step-by-step We were taken to the section were the packaging takes place
Our visit step-by-step We passed by the chemistry lab
Our visit step-by-step We went to the section where ketchup and mustard are made.
Our visit step-by-step We went to the section where fish is processed and smoked

Our visit step-by-step We went to the section where fridges with the products are kept.
Our visit step-by-step We had an interesting discussion with one of the company owners.
What did we like the most? There are signs everywhere to remind employees about the environment They pay their employees more than the amount of money they have to by the law
What did we like the most? There is a plan of cleaning and disinfection processes in the company
What did we like the most? There is a lot of silence and calmness everywhere in the factory Everything is organised, e.g. the etiquettes for their products depending on the countries they export their products Both internal and external environment were in harmony with the companys whole philosophy
What did we like the most? There is biological cleaning and water is cleaned before it returns to the environment They produce everything themselves and this way they can be sure about their product quality.
What did we like the most? The employees seemed very focused on their jobs and devoted to the company Valanto They have special equipment to make sure the transport of their products is always under the right conditions Olga
What did we like the most? The company takes part in local events and charities George They have a very good relationship with their competitors, but they always try hard to be ahead Stavroula
What did we like the most? They try to cooperate with local businesses and corporations Marina They showed us that working hard is the best guarantee for success. A lot of the things we saw was made by the owners themselves Nena
Would you like to work in the company? Why? Yes, of course! I liked the environment. Foteini I liked the company much, but food industry is not the field Im interested in. Thodoris Definitely! Maybe in the transportation of their products. Miltos Sure!!! I will both offer my knowledge and learn many new things Anastasia
Would you like to work in the company? Why? OF COURSE! Id love to work for a company which has 30% profit rise even now that theres crisis everywhere. I think I will always have a job in this company. Maria YES! I might have the chance to travel to one of the 40 countries they export their products Polina Yes! They respect their employees and pay them a satisfying salary. Evangelia
Would you like to work in the company? Why? Certainly! Many of the fields are exactly what we are studying in our school, such as marketing, logistics, secretarial work, accounting, bookkeeping, etc. Yiannis
