This document summarizes the assessment components for the GCE A Level Media Studies qualification. It outlines three components: Component 1 involves a written exam assessing media language, representation, industries and audiences through analysis of various media forms. Component 2 is another written exam exploring media forms and products in depth through questions on television, magazines, and online media. Component 3 requires students to complete an individual cross-media production applying knowledge from the theoretical framework and digital convergence. The qualification will be awarded starting in summer 2019.
