- 2. The problems in the past The old plan didnt provide enough detail to location, direction, and movement. It also increased congestion and disrupted the flow of traffic.
- 3. New Plan The new plan reduces the number of students going to the football field as well as the baseball field. Provides more details to staff and students about direction and location.
- 4. Routes Routes are to be clearly drawn on paper and put in classrooms These plans should be reviewed by the class with the teacher at the beginning of every new grading period.
- 5. walkways Are currently to narrow for either evacuation plan Paths should be widen to increase flow and reduce congestion
- 6. Evacuation locations Old plan only included 2 general locations New plan has three general locations for students to meet and 5 specific color coded areas
- 7. Fire escapes Like in apartment buildings, fire escapes for the upper levels of buildings should be added This would ease the traffic flow of the main stair cases in the buildings
- 8. Arrows and marked locations Evacuation Evacuation Evacuation Evacuation Colored arrows will be put on the walkways which will then lead to its evacuation point At the evacuation area colored markers like signs will be put up to show the exact evacuation location.
- 9. New doors Instead of bulky, heavy doors, automatic sliding doors should be put in. Increase flow, gives more room to exit, can still be manually opened.
