A.R. Rahman is an Indian composer, singer, songwriter, music producer and philanthropist known for integrating Eastern classical music with electronic music and world music. He began his early musical training at age 11 and composed scores for documentaries and advertisements. Rahman's career began in 1992 when he started a recording studio and composed the score for the Tamil film Roja, which led to more film work. He has won two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards and numerous other awards for his film compositions and songs. Rahman is also involved in humanitarian work through his charitable foundation.

A . R . Rahman A Life Bonded In Music Allah - Rakha Rahman born as A.S. Dileep Kumar (6th January 1967) is an Indian composer , singer-songwriter , music producer , musician and philanthropist. His works are noted for integrating Eastern classical music with electronic music, world music and traditional orchestral arrangements.
Rahman began his early musical training under Master Dhanraj and at age 11 began playing in the orchestra of Malayalam composer (and close friend of his father) M. K. Arjunan.
The Life At Studio Rahman initially composed scores for documentaries and jingles for advertisements and Indian television channels. In 1992, he was approached by director Mani Ratnam to compose the score and soundtrack for his Tamil film, Roja.

Rahman had also won many awards other than Oscars such as IIFA Award , Grammy Award , Film-fare Award , National Film Award For Best Music Direction , and many other. He has also won Honorary Doctorate Award From Foreign University.

Humanitarian WorksRahman is involved with a number of charitable causes. In 2004 he was appointed global ambassador of the Stop TB Partnership, a WHO project. He composed the theme music for a 2006 short film for The Banyan to aid poor women in Chennai.
