A SuperNatural Life Ps 17:13-15 13) Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword: 14) From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes. 15) As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. John 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

A Super-Natural Life Supernatural Superiority- Ps 18 Supernatural Supplies – Ps 18:35 Supernatural Consistency- Ps 27:6 Example of Supernatural Transformation- Ps 77 After eight chapters, the deliverance David sought in chapter 77, is finally given- Ps 85:1-2 Ps 85:1-2 1) LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. 2) Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.
3. Supernatural Superiority- Ps 18 Ps 18:1 1) I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. A Psalm of David, who spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: O LORD= my strength It doesn’t get any more superior than that.
4. Supernatural Superiority- Is found in the details of David’s life… Praising- Ps 18:3 Ps 18:3 3) I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.   In the face of enemies David praises God, not whines about the opposition.   Purging- Ps 18:23 Ps 18:23 I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.   The fiercest enemy is the one within. Ps 18:26 26) With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.
5. Supernatural Supplies – Ps 18:35 Tools are only needed if you intend to change something. Nothing is more frustrating than to have a tool break in the middle of a job. What do we know about God given tools for a Supernatural life?
6. Supernatural Supplies – Ps 18:35     A Quality Product- Ps 18:35   Ps 18:35 35) Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.   Simply having ownership of the shield does not give protection; the shield must be used, THAT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.   A Proven Product- Ps 91:4   Ps 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.   God’s word is the unchanging truth, regardless of the ever-changing opinions and circumstances of life.   Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.   If just knowing the facts of God’s truth was enough there would be no need for faith.   There will be challenges to what God declares as fact and what your human reason understands as truth;   Faith is choosing to believe God is right, and all else is a mirage.
7. Supernatural Consistency- Ps 27:6   The value of a product is in it’s consistency. We demonstrate our value as a servant to God by our consistency. 1Cor 4:1-2 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2) Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
8. sacrifices of joy Ps 27:6 6) And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.   Sacrifice and Joy are not two words that are normally partners.   When joy comes naturally it is no sacrifice. The Supernatural life requires living above “natural” instinct.   continually resort Ps 71:3 3) Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.   praise continually Ps 71:6 6) By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.   hope continually Ps 71:14 14) But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
9. Example of Supernatural Transformation- Ps 77   Look over David's shoulder as he journals his finding on how to have the Supernatural life God intends us to have. As is usual the first time around we have some lessons to learn; David was no exception. Ps 77:1-3 1) I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me. 2) In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted. 3) I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.

A Natural Response- Ps 77:4-9   Ps 77:4-9 4) Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak. 5) I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times. 6) I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search. 7) Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more? 8) Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore? 9) Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.   A Supernatural Choice- Ps 77:10-20   Ps 77:10-20 10) And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High. 11) I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. 12) I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings. 13) Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God? 14) Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people. 15) Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah. 16) The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled. 17) The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad. 18) The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook. 19) Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known. 20) Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Changed Speech- Ps 78:1 Ps 78:1 1) Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.   Changed Viewpoint- Ps 79:1 Ps 79:1 1) O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.   Changed Salutation- Ps 80:1 Ps 80:1 1) Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.   A Change in Latitude made a Change in Attitude- Ps 81:1 Ps 81:1 1) Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.   Still no deliverance from Ch. 77 but, you wouldn’t know it by the way he is acting.   A Change in Control- Ps 82:1 Ps 82:1 1) God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.   A Change of Indictment- Ps 83:1-2 Ps 83:1-2 1) Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. 2) For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. (the personal pronouns of 77:1-6 are gone)  
12. A Change in Desires- Ps 84:1-2 Ps 84:1-2 1) How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts! 2) My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
