- 5. WHAT IS POLLUTION? Definition: When Harmful Substances Contaminate the Environment it is known as Pollution. Pollution refers to the very bad condition of environment in terms of quality and quantity.

- 7. AIR POLLUTION: Air pollution is the mixture of solid particles and gases in the air, e.g Smog , fog etc.
- 8. WATER POLLUTION: Any change in the physical , chemical or biological properties of water that will have a detrimental effects on the living organisms in water is called water pollution.
- 9. LAND POLLUTION Land pollution is the detoriation (destruction) of the earths land surfaces, often directly or indirectly as a result of mans activity and their misuse of land and resources.

- 12. Major sources of air pollution are: Industries Automobiles and domestic fuel Sulphur dioxide emitted on burning of fossil fuel is one of the major causes of air pollution.

Dead fish , crabs , birds , and dolphins and many other animals often wind upon beaches ,killed by pollutants in their habitat (living environment).

The potential effects of soil contamination on human health include: Breathing disorders Birth defects Skin diseases Cancer
- 29. WHAT IS PREVENTION: Preventation is an activity that reduces or eliminates waste at the source instead of treating the waste after it is generated.

- 33. 8 . Adapt the 3Rs of solid waste management: Reduce, Recycle , Reuse. 9. Inorganic materials such as metals, glass and plastic ; also inorganic materials like paper, can be reclaimed or recycled.
- 34. 10 . Create your green space . Value your garden . Plant more trees and put indoor plants in your homes as they clean the air provide oxygen and beautify your surroundings. Thus care for them by protecting them you protect yourself and your family.

Our climate is changing drastically and its getting worst.we must hep fight Global Warming by doing the following steps: 1. Plant more trees 2. Dont waste water 3. Use cloth bag and dont burn platic.
