Abhay Sharma is a graduate student who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has work experience as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Godrej and Boyce Mfg. Co. - 1. Dear Sir, I, Abhay Sharma, am a Graduate Student at the Chitkara University, Rajpura, Punjab. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering 2011-15 batch. I worked as Graduate Engineer Trainee, in Godrej and Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd, from Oct’15- May’16. There I was in appliances services department. While working there I learned many skills and also used my skills to fulfil the required targets. During my undergraduate, I developed multiple technical skills through working on various projects. These projects along with related modules helped me to gain strong knowledge in field of mechanical engineering. I have completed my major project of degree as CFD and Real time analysis of symmetrical and unsymmetrical aerofoils by publishing and presenting two research papers on this. Aerofoils are the shapes which are strongly recommended for best aerodynamics and looks like cross section of airplane wings. The aim to pursue this project was to find out the difference between results of real time and computerised analysis. In this project I used CATIA V6, Ansys and Gambit software as required. I have also worked on projects in PepsiCo, Channo Plant, Patiala, Punjab. The projects were related to HVAC plant and ETP plant. Calculating COP of HVAC plant was a great experience to use my RAC knowledge in real life. Where ETP plant was all new and helped me to learn new things and plant layout, which I found is very important to know for any engineer in the company. One of my degree projects was Centrifugal Casting Machine, which was also awarded with the Eminent project award. With the successful working of the machine we got to know the technique to cast bearings rings. Other than that I also worked on the project of truck chassis designing and stress test, this project was the part of training where I learned CATIA V5 and Hypermesh.
