- 2. WELLS, SOMERSET In the South West of England. In between the cities of Bath and Bristol. The smallest city in England with a population of 10,000. Has the oldest street in England called Vicars Close.
- 4. MY FAMILY I live in Somerset with my Mum, Dad, Brother, and Cat. My Mum is called Sally, and shes a Science teacher in the Secondary school in Wells that I went to called The Blue School. My Dad is called Andrew, and hes a journalist in Bristol for the newspapers The Western Daily Press and The Bristol Evening Post. My Brother is called Nathan, hes 18 years old and has just started studying Business Management at Cardiff University.
- 5. SOUTHAMPTON, HAMPSHIRE Southampton is in the south of England by the sea, but it does not have a beach. Largest city in the county of Hampshire. 121km from London (2 hours by car), and 31km from Portsmouth. It is the fourth largest port in the UK and a very industrial city.
- 6. THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHAMPTON 24,000 students. Modern Language Students have 12 hours of lectures a week. Science and maths students have a lot more, whereas English and History students have less. Most courses are 3 or 4 years long. I have to write 8 essays a year and take 4 exams.
