The Sawnee Woman's Club is a non-profit community service organization founded in 1985 that has given over 90,000 volunteer hours and raised over $420,000. It operates under the General Federation of Women's Clubs and has numerous community projects in areas like arts, conservation, and assisting seniors. New members must live or work in Forsyth County, be recommended, attend orientations, serve in departments, and meet other requirements. Monthly meetings are held the second Wednesday at Three Chimneys Farm Clubhouse.

Egg-straordinary Outdoor Art Project Recent Projects If youve spent any time in downtown Cumming, youve likely seen one of our eggs. Visit SawneeWomansClub.org for a list of egg locations.
Holiday Giving Tree for Kids Recent Projects New SWC members completed a special shopping project for children in Forsyth County.
Food Rescue Recent Projects In partnership with the Gwinnett Braves and United Way, SWC donated funds to purchase a refridgerated truck for Feed the Hungry Forsyth. The truck recsues unused perishable foods from restaurants, caterers and grocers and delivers it to local food pantries.
Special Olympics Recent Projects SWC volunteers support young athletes with special needs at Special Olympics each spring.
Culture for Kids Recent Projects Boys from The Bald Ridge Lodge went with SWC volunteers to dinner and participated in a live theatrical performance at Agathas Mystery Dinner Theatre.
Conservation Education Recent Projects SWCs Conservation Department rewards local teachers for supporting recycling and conservation concepts in the classroom.
Stockings for Seniors Recent Projects SWC volunteers worked with local children to collect and stuff stockings with gifts for seniors.
Art Contest Recent Projects Forsyth County elementary school students receive supplies from SWC and compete in an annual art contest.
Adopt a Road Recent Projects SWC volunteers clean up a 1-mile stretch of Marketplace Boulevard in partnership with Keep Forsyth County Beautiful.

Membership Requirements Live, work or have interests in Forsyth County Registered voter Be recommended for membership and sponsored by a current member Attend New Member Orientation (August 15, 2013) Pay annual dues ($80) Attend at least 6 of 9 monthly meetings
Membership Requirements Serve in at least one Department Perform 10 service hours, including New Member Project, by December 31, 2013 Perform at least 30 service hours between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014 Contribute to annual fundraiser by securing at least one silent auction item, purchasing ticket and attending event
