Kevin Longa is an award-winning filmmaker who creates the documentary series TASTE, which tells the stories of food entrepreneurs around the world. Through TASTE, Longa explores the lives and backgrounds of people in the food industry, from chefs and farmers to bakers and food truck operators. The documentary series has already filmed stories in Asia, Europe, and America, with plans to continue expanding to more regions and types of food businesses. Longa draws from his own experiences with food from a young age and aims to share the untold stories of the people behind what we eat.
6. A Little About Kevin Longa
Driven by his own food story, Kevin uncovers
the untold stories of food and the people who
make it. At a young age, he sourced his school
lunches from culinary encounters: ostrich jerky
after scouting Vilijees ranch in South Africa and
honey-鍖avored tea from his Chinese family.
Between classes, Kevin delivered keynote
presentations for entrepreneurs abroad and hit
the kitchens and farms to create a
documentary on food corporations. By the time
he earned his UCLA degree and graduated
from the Silicon Valley entrepreneurial program
Draper University, Kevin had amassed his own
rolodex of international food business owners
and entrepreneurs.

15. TASTEs Secret Sauce
A Different TASTE of Food TV
Unlike most food TV programming, we dont rely
upon fabricated cooking competitions or bizarre
foods. Each episode features a different story
about a food entrepreneur. Thats TASTE.
REAL food. TRUE entrepreneurs. RAW stories.
16. TASTE: Beyond The Plate Episodes with Kevin
Over my life, Ive discovered a whole world that the rest of society didn't
seem to know. It's not The Food Network nor glossy cooking magazines.
You get it by going deepimmersing yourself and engaging with people
who do such wonderful things with their food.
- Kevin Longa
Each episode of TASTE will be complemented with a debrie鍖ng episode
where Kevin shares his food story and experiences abroad. Watch intro.
17. The Story Behind TASTE
Kevin scraped into the bottom of his life savings and began
鍖lming TASTE abroad. On the road with nothing but a camera and
an appetite, Kevin has learned that all food entrepreneurs have a
story they're passionate to share from Paco, the Spanish bon
vivant with a down-to-earth, 鍖ve-star kitchen to Rithy, the
Cambodian drug addict-turned-master baker. Each international
food entrepreneur and their culture provides a 鍖avor of life. Their
food and stories are the only recipes Kevin will ever need.
