Both quantitative and qualitative analyses were used. Most researchers were female, aged 41-45 years old, employed in public institutions. Thesis topics fell under instruction (highest percentage), educational management, or both (lowest percentage). The analysis provides insight into MAEM research trends and could help identify future research areas.

Continuous use of traditional instruction has proven to give results of unsatisfactory performance, misconceptions and poor attitudes towards chemistry for most students. This study was designed to examine the differential effects of multimodal instructional and traditional instructional approaches on selected Colleges of Education students understanding of chemistry topics to remove the drawbacks of the traditional instructional methods used to teach Chemistry. The sample of the study involved 120 students who were randomly selected into groups from two colleges of Education. The primary data was collected from interview, questionnaire and pre and post-tests for the study. The results indicated that most of students who participated in the study had difficulties learning Chemistry concepts, hold a lot of misconceptions and negative attitudes and interest in learning the topics of the subject. The difficulties were attributed to the sort of instructional approach used to teach Chemistry. Multimodal instructional approaches were proven to show positive significant effect on students learning chemistry in the Colleges. There was high improvement in the performance and interest of students to learn Chemistry concepts. The students who were taught by multimodal instructional approaches could interpret and comprehend more chemistry concepts in the study than those who were taught by traditional instructional approach. New NSF-backed, Independent Research Study Shows Project-Based Inquiry Curriculum Materials Has a Positive Effect on How Students Learn Science and on Leveling the STEM Playing Field.
NSF-backed study is the first to examine use by middle-school teachers and students of science curriculum aligned with the new Framework for K-12 Science Education and Next Generation Science Standards. The study used an NGSS-aligned curriculum called Project-Based Inquiry Science published by ITS ABOUT TIME速.
The most profound finding to come out of the study indicates that students taught using project-based inquiry curriculum aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) substantially outperformed students taught using a traditional science curriculum. The results of the research have broad-reaching implications for the entire education spectrum from classroom and student engagement, to teacher Professional Development, to education policies at the state and national level.
The independent, randomized controlled study conducted by SRI International*, compared the impact of the research-based, NGSS-aligned curriculum called Project-based Inquiry Science (PBIS), published by ITS ABOUT TIME速 (IAT), to traditional science curriculum materials for middle-school students in a large and diverse urban school district. development of secondary school teachers in Zone 2, Division of Zambales SY 2019-2020. The descriptive
research design with survey questionnaire as the main instrument was utilized to one hundred and ten (110)
teachers as population respondents who were randomly selected. The researcher concluded that the teacherrespondent is a Teacher-2, Social Studies major, and attained BS degree with masteral units of education. The
teacher-respondents assessed Very Important on the level of extent on the need for in-service training needs as
to systematic planning in teaching, pedagogical competence, assessment of learning outcomes, effective
management of classroom, use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Professional
development skills. There is no significant differences when grouped according to profile variables towards
systematic planning in teaching, pedagogical competence, assessment of learning outcomes, and the use of
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) however, significant on field of specialization towards
effective management of classroom and significant on academic position towards Professional development
skills. There is no significant difference on the dimensions towards level of extent on in-service training needs
of teacher-respondents as to systematic planning in teaching, pedagogical competence, assessment of learning

New NSF-backed, Independent Research Study Shows Project-Based Inquiry Curriculum Materials Has a Positive Effect on How Students Learn Science and on Leveling the STEM Playing Field.
NSF-backed study is the first to examine use by middle-school teachers and students of science curriculum aligned with the new Framework for K-12 Science Education and Next Generation Science Standards. The study used an NGSS-aligned curriculum called Project-Based Inquiry Science published by ITS ABOUT TIME速.
The most profound finding to come out of the study indicates that students taught using project-based inquiry curriculum aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) substantially outperformed students taught using a traditional science curriculum. The results of the research have broad-reaching implications for the entire education spectrum from classroom and student engagement, to teacher Professional Development, to education policies at the state and national level.
The independent, randomized controlled study conducted by SRI International*, compared the impact of the research-based, NGSS-aligned curriculum called Project-based Inquiry Science (PBIS), published by ITS ABOUT TIME速 (IAT), to traditional science curriculum materials for middle-school students in a large and diverse urban school district. The study focused on two areas of science: earth science (processes that shape the Earths surface) and physical science (energy).

This study used latent class analysis to examine survey responses from a nationally representative sample of 7th graders in the US about their science attitudes, perceptions of teacher support, and later STEM career attainment. The analysis identified four latent classes: 1) students who found science useful and felt teacher encouragement, 2) students who found science useful but did not feel teacher encouragement, 3) students who did not find science useful but felt some teacher encouragement, and 4) students who did not find science useful and did not feel teacher encouragement. This study assessed the critical thinking ability of 90 postgraduate students (45 male, 45 female) at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Students completed the 40-item Cornell Critical Thinking Test. Analysis found that students correctly answered 42.5% of questions on average, indicating low critical thinking ability. Male students answered 52.5% of questions correctly, while females answered 37.5% correctly. However, a t-test found no statistically significant difference in scores between males and females, suggesting similar critical thinking levels regardless of gender. This study aimed to determine the effects of cutting classes on the academic performance of senior high school students in Tigbauan National High School. A total of 50 senior high school students participated in the study, consisting of 20 male students and 30 female students. The study found that cutting classes had a neutral effect on academic performance. Specifically, the findings showed that boredom is a main reason for cutting classes and that students sometimes skip class every day. Demetrio2 1 Supervising Instructor, Teacher Education Program, Father Saturnino Urios University. 2 SST1, Bagong Silang National High School, San Mateo Butuan City ABSTRACT One compulsory requirement in the completion of a masters degree is a masters thesis. This study aimed to determine the trends in Master of Arts in Educational Management (MAEM) presented to the faculty of Father Saturnino Urios University Graduate School within the last ten years (2007-2016). Content analysis following the variables of Goktas et al (2012) was employed in the study. The topics to which the studies revolved are also considered. Descriptive statistics was used in the analysis of the data gathered. A total of 22 theses were analyzed. An average of two theses is produced within one school year. Most of the researchers preferred students/pupils as participants in the study which accounts to 36% while the least preferred groups are cluster 4 (parents), cluster 8 (principal, teacher, administrators and local board) and cluster 9 (principal, teacher and students/pupils) which accounts to 5% respectively. These participants mostly come from the public schools (64%) while only 36% derived from the private institutions. Most of the studies utilized descriptive-correlation design with a percentage of 41. Researcher-made survey questionnaire was the widely used data collection tool. Purposive sampling is the recurrent sampling technique. Both quantitative and qualitative analysis predominated in the study. As to the profile, most of the researchers are female ranging from 41-45 years old who are also employed in public institutions. Data revealed that topics covered fall under (a) Instruction, (b) Educational Management and (c) both Instruction and Educational Management. Topics on Instruction got the highest percentage while topics covering both received the least. The result of this analysis is likely to give a clue about the research trends in MAEM. Results are hoped to be of use in identifying future research endeavors, bridging research gaps and even addressing the research needs of the region. Keywords: content analysis, MAEM, research trends
