The Academic Counselors Association at the University of Texas at Austin is offering $200 scholarships to undergraduate students who assist in advising or academic support services on campus. To be eligible, students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 and submit an application describing how they support advising services, how this has impacted their experience at UT Austin, and how the scholarship would help them pursue academic or professional goals. Applications must be submitted by March 5th.

Academic Counselors Association 2013 Student Development Scholarship The Academic Counselors Association (ACA) is proud to offer $200 scholarships to University of Texas at Austin students who support the vision and values of the UT academic advising community. It is the hope of ACA that these scholarships will assist students in their academic pursuits and endeavors. Eligibility requirements: Candidates must be undergraduate students who assist in advising or other academic support services and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 (to be verified by the ACA Awards and Recognition Committee). Please expand on how your role fits in with the vision and values of ACA (http://www.utexas.edu/staff/aca/vision). 2) How has your work supporting students impacted your experience at UT Austin? 3) How will this scholarship assist you in pursuing your academic or professional goals? Please address any financial need you currently experience, if relevant. 4) Please attach a resume or list of activities and accomplishments. 5) Optional: Submit a letter of recommendation from a staff or faculty member who is familiar with your work assisting in advising or other student support services. I authorize the ACA Awards and Recognition Committee to verify the information I have provided, including my UT GPA. I further understand submission of false information is grounds for rejection of my application. NOTE: The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), 20 U.S.C. &1232g, and its implementing regulations 34 CFR Part 99, authorize the release of student educational records to other educational institutions in which you are enrolled or receive services.
