 Aspirin, also known as acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), is a medication used to
treat pain, fever, or inflammation.
 Specific inflammatory conditions which aspirin is used to treat include
Kawasaki disease, pericarditis, and rheumatic fever.

 Aspirin, an acetyl derivative of
salicylic acid, is a white, crystalline,
weakly acidic substance, with a
melting point of 136 属C (277 属F),
and a boiling point of 140 属C (284
属F)

Uses
 Analgesic: Relieves pain without
anesthesia or loss of consciousness
 Antipyretic: Reduces a fever
 Anti-inflammatory: Lowers
inflammation when used in higher doses
Uses
 Aspirin is thought to reduce the
overall risk of both getting
cancer and dying from cancer.
This effect is particularly
beneficial for colorectal
cancer, but must be taken for at
least 1020 years to see this
benefit.
Uses
 Aspirin is an important part of the treatment
of those who have had a heart attack.
 It helps in preventing platelet clumping
 It is not generally recommended for first heart
attack
