To create a fully functional live Pac-Man game for a Super Bowl commercial, multiple technologies had to be integrated and programmed so that Pac-Man, dots, ghosts, and fruit would interact in real-time just like the original arcade version. Since it was being filmed live with a non-actor subject, the system only had one chance to work correctly. A custom backend system was developed using 256 LED lights, a 9 camera tracking system, and precise programming to bring Pac-Man to life for the commercial in a realistic way.
