Mr. Jaime Cabrera
Centro Escolar University,
Philippines
I learn about the seven
types of literary conflict by
completing this activity.
We must suffer
from one of two
pains : the pain of
discipline or the
pain of regret. The
difference is
discipline weighs
ounces while
regret weighs tons

Why is CONFLICT important?
ï‚› Without conflict, there is no story: no TV
shows, movies, radio dramas, comics,
novels… and life would be boring.
ï‚› The storyline happens due to the conflict.
ï‚› Conflict is introduced in the rising action.
ï‚› Change happens at the turning point.
ï‚› Conflict is faced head-on during the climax.
ï‚› Conflict begins to work itself out during the
falling action.
ï‚› Conflict is resolved during the resolution.
ï‚› This homework is worth 10 quizzes. Each quiz
is numbered.
1. INTERNAL
CONFLICT
There is only one type of
internal conflict.
MAN vs. SELF
ï‚› The character(s) struggle happens in their own
mind(s).
ï‚› This may be a choice between right and wrong, or
related overcoming emotions or mixed feelings.
