WHAT IS ACID ATTACK ? The act of throwing acid on to the body of another. With the intention to disfigure,Maim,Torture or kill.
TYPES OF ACID ? Sulfuric Acid Nitric Acid Hydrochloric Acid
REASON BEHIND ACID ATTACK Love into Hatred Jealousy Revenge According to the newspaper The Hindu In India, an estimated 500-1000 attacks takes place every year and while they rarely kill they leave severe physical, psychological and social scars. Acid attacks, which overwhelmingly target women and children. Many incidents are happening
in India. One of the acid attack victim is Ms.Reshma Qureshi a 19 year old girl who lost an eye and whose face was brutally disfigured in the attack, walked the New York catwalk to whoops and cheers in what she called a life-changing experience.
PREVENTION & TREATMENT Education system of india should be modify which include one compulsory subject about violence against women. Gender discrimination must be avoided. Government should made strict rules against these types of crimes. Victims of acid attack dont need any sympathy from anyone they just need a helping hand to feel oneness with society. Uganda has the worlds largest burn centre. Counseling Long term care Social support( shelter, occupational training etc.)
LAWS AGAINST ACID ATTACKS IN INDIA Minimum imprisonment of 10 years extendable up to imprisonment for life. Non-Bailable Fine up to 10 lacs rupees and that fine shall be given to the victim or administer .
