III.MOVIE ANALYSIS
1. How does the film Act of Valor evoke the sense or meaning of peace in
you?
The film Act of Valor really evoked the meani ng of peace in us that even
even though it is a free country, people will not be fully at peace as long as terrorism
stays as one of the big dilemma of every government. Terrorists destroy properties to
catch attention from the government, and even worse lives of not just one or two, but a
big number of innocent people. We just can say that a country is at peace if terrorism
would be fully terminated from a country. It is the primary cause of chaos that results to
loss of peoples lives. It is difficult to gain peace for every nation if terrorists could nt be
stopped on creating troubles. The word peace is really pleasing to hear, yet hard to
achieve. Peace will not be achieved as long as there are terrorists in the world.
2. How do the following concept come into play in the issue of terrorism?
2.1 Family
The concepts of the film come into play in the issue of family in a
way that terrorism greatly affects group of innocent people. Many families
were destroyed. Just like what happened to one soldier who died while
battling with the terrorists, his son will never have a chance to meet his brave
father.
2.2 Brotherhood
The concepts of the film come into play in the issue of brotherhood
in a way Rorke sacrificed himself for the sake of his fellow soldiers.
Brotherhood was shown in that situation. If Rorke didnt cover himself on the
grenade before it explode, probably all of them would be wounded or either
be dead.
2.3 Government
The Act of Valor is related to the issue of government in a way
that the government is the one who makes ways to stop terrorism in a
country. The government always prioritizes its people first.
