Action research is a type of research teachers conduct to improve problems in their classrooms. It involves four phases - planning, action, observation, and reflection. In the planning phase, teachers identify issues and develop plans to address them. During action, teachers implement interventions to solve issues. In observation, teachers document the effects of interventions. Finally, in reflection, teachers evaluate the effects of actions and determine how to further address issues.
