Active Tourism
Active tourism is a unique form of tourism that combines a bit of physical activity, cultural exchange and
engagement with Nature and mostly getting people to step out of their comfort zone, like walking in a
Reserve like Lekki Conservation Zone here in Lagos www.ncfnigeria.org , bird watching cycling or a
zumba dance on any of our beautiful Beaches . It is safe and without excessive physical demand.
Basically the idea for Active tourism is to encourage people stay fit while enjoying the beauty of tourism,
a lot of career people hardly get the time for quality excersice due to the nature of their jobs like the
bankers, when you think of the hous spent in a typical lagos rush hours, hours spent behind their desk
and the journey back home , then imagine this day in day out and how it affects the individual's health.

Active tourism is rewarding for the spirit ad mind, a few hours of walking or zumba dance at the beach
with the ambiance surely will help to rejuvinate the body and general well being. That is why

can't get to the gym. examples of Active tourism includes walking, biking, bird watching, and zumba.
