At present it has 250 members. It was established with the main aim of abolishing dowry in our society and to create an awareness regarding the evils ofdowryamong the women and to encourage the youthto marrywithout dowry. The releaseofAnnualmagazine name※ETHIROLI§ happens to be the annual feature. It explores and brings out the creative talents ofthe womenstudents. ??? TrichyDistrict levelAnti-dowrydrawingcompetitionwas held among schools and colleges and Prizes were distributed in 2010. Marriages were conducted without dowry for the former members inChidambaramand Ramanathapuramin2010. Present Members complimented themat the wedding function. Bicycles and other forms of aids were distributed to the disabled peopleinIrungalur aroundTrichyin 2010. Aone dayConference ※Creating a worldwithout dowry§ was held in the college auditorium with the support of students and parents.Ashiq meera,DeputyMayor ofTrichywere the dignitaries at thisbig function. St. JosephEyeHospitalAssociationwashonoredwithaaward for abolishing dowryduring the ※Cycle Rally§ Executive meeting for the former members of anti dowry Associationwas heldin2012.Anexhibitionwasconducted to excite the former members with researches, circulars and Newspaper cuttings. Apart fromthis,weextendourhandsinvarioussocialactivities such as providing food and clothing to the orphans , keeping the public placesneatandtidy, erecting bus-shelters,providingessential materials to the poor, tree plantations, conducting blood donation camps, providing educational help to the backward class people, blood donation and manymore socialactivities. Financialrequirement forallthese types ofactivities have been provided bythe students on their own. Over the years, the various functions andprogrammes have brought policeofficers, collectors, Mayors, Ministers, M.L.As, and other reputed dignitaries as chief guests. District collector ofPudukottai, Mrs.Sheela RaniShungath declared ※IN NEED OF GOOD BRIDEGROOM PLEASE GO TO JAMALMOHAMED COLLEGE§.Allthe ChiefGuests and eminent personalities areinvitedto the functionbythestudents with the guidelines ofthe staffmembers. The club totally run by the students has achieved a great milestone by completing the silver jubilee in February 2010. V ? . 30 In1993, theclubmembersvisitedthedowrycelland examined the dowrycases, and submitted a first-hand report to the Collector and thePolice officers. In the year 1994 a big conference was conducted against dowryinJamalMohamed CollegeAuditorium. State LevelEssaywriting competitionwasconducted in2001 and 2002 in order to create an awareness about evils of dowry. This year EssayWriting competition was announced and essays have been received allover TamilNadu. A State level Dowry abolition Campaign was conducted in 2004 and the Conference souvenir was released. Inorderto abolish dowryahuge rallywas conductedin 2009, in whichmorethan 100 students participated. In order to create awareness among students about evils of dowry, a state level Essay writing competition was conducted in 2009 on ※Dowry- a socialevil§. TheADAclubis releasing ※PIRATHI PALIPU§everyyear to enrichandenlightentheenergeticandemotionalideasofthestudents about dowry. The club conducts Debates, Speeches, §SINTHANAI ARANGAM§ indowryrelated topicsto create awareness among students everyyear.

One ofthe important resolutions is to give priorityto the youngsters ingovernment jobwho marrywithout dowry. Agreat cycle rallywasconducted inthe year 1991against the dowry.

Apart fromthis,weextendourhandsinvarioussocialactivities such as providing food and clothing to the orphans , keeping the public placesneatandtidy, erecting bus-shelters,providingessential materials to the poor, tree plantations, conducting blood donation camps, providing educational help to the backward class people, blood donation and manymore socialactivities. In the year 1994 a big conference was conducted against dowryinJamalMohamed CollegeAuditorium. State LevelEssaywriting competitionwasconducted in2001 and 2002 in order to create an awareness about evils of dowry. This year EssayWriting competition was announced and essays have been received allover TamilNadu. A State level Dowry abolition Campaign was conducted in 2004 and the Conference souvenir was released. Inorderto abolish dowryahuge rallywas conductedin 2009, in whichmorethan 100 students participated. In order to create awareness among students about evils of dowry, a state level Essay writing competition was conducted in 2009 on ※Dowry- a socialevil§. TheADAclubis releasing ※PIRATHI PALIPU§everyyear to enrichandenlightentheenergeticandemotionalideasofthestudents about dowry.
