Publio Elio Adriano was a Roman emperor from 117 to 138 CE. He was born in Rome or Italica in 76 CE and succeeded Trajano as emperor after his death, having accompanied Trajano during his war in Dacia. Adriano ruled as emperor for 21 years until his death at age 62.
