Publio Elio Adriano was a Roman emperor from 117 to 138 CE. He was born in Rome or Italica in 76 CE and succeeded Trajano as emperor after his death, having accompanied Trajano during his war in Dacia. Adriano ruled as emperor for 21 years until his death at age 62.

He was a member of the Dynasty Ulpius Aelia. He was the third of five great emperors. He was second of the Hispanic emperors. He went with Trajano in a war called Dacia. When Trajano died, Adriano acceded to the imperial throne. He died with 62 years.
