The Forest Trust (TFT) is seeking a Project Manager based in Lima, Peru to help companies transform their international supply chains to benefit people and nature. Responsibilities include developing relationships with companies, creating proposals, managing projects, and conducting field visits. The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of business experience, understands social and environmental issues, and is fluent in Spanish and proficient in English.

The Forest Trust TFT (The Forest Trust) is an international fast growing non-profit organization which helps companies transform their supply chains across the world for the benefit of people and nature. TFT is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to become our PROJECT MANAGER based in Lima, Peru keen to secure a career within a dynamic non-profit that builds partnerships with companies to drive responsible practices across international supply chains. The successful candidate will a have passion for environmental and social issues, be a critical thinker, pragmatic problem solver, a collaborative team player, a self-starter who can thrive in a dynamic and diverse work environment. x Peruvians and non-Peruvians are welcome to apply. Foreigners must have legal permission to work in Peru. x Full time position. x Start date in December/January. x Based in Lima, Peru. x Frequent trips inside Peru and potentially to other countries in Latin America. x Able to work flexible hours (outside 9-5 workday), as required. Responsibilities and Scope The main responsibilities of the Project Manager are to:  Collaborate with companies, NGO’s and internal teams to develop our approaches into clear compelling solutions that industry can adopt  Identify companies and commodities that present opportunities to increase our impact on responsible commodity production in Peru  Develop relationships with prospective members and other stakeholders  Create proposals, negotiate contracts and grow our Membership base in Peru  Become a subject matter expert on our commodities and approaches to improving practices  Effectively represent TFT at events and conferences  Support Members and partners in supply chain analysis, mapping, and reporting  Develop member-related communication tools and documents  Communication with existing Members, including responsibility for managing Member relationships  Develop Member work plans collaboratively with Members and other TFT offices  Communication with external stakeholders as necessary for outreach and research, and to develop strong relationships with other organizations and experts  Conduct field visits to agriculture and forestry companies in support of better environment, social and labor practices;  Develop learner centered workshops in support of better environmental, social and labor practices;  Support development of tools and process for our global work in palm oil, cocoa and other commodities Requirements – Candidate Profile Minimum Qualifications x University degree or higher in a field related to business management, forestry, rural development, the environment, sociology/anthropology or agriculture; x 2-4 or more years working in or with businesses, ideally in the manufacturing, agriculture or foresty sectors touching supply chain management, procurement, quality control, environmental management, social impact or labor relations; x Good understanding and high interest in environmental and social responsibility issues; x Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); x Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail; x Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze systems and identify key issues and risks; x Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), especially Excel; x Interest and motivation for TFT’s vision and mission; x International work experience is an advantage; x Fluency in written and spoken Spanish. Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English; x Commitment to client confidentiality; x Eager to continually learn and develop as part of a team. Preferred x Knowledge of raw material, food products, agriculture and/or sustainability certifications; x Experience in Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives; Language skills x Spanish fluency. x English advance proficiency.
