Affiliate marketing allows a business to reward affiliates for any customers or visitors brought to the business through the affiliate's marketing efforts, usually through a commission percentage on sales. Affiliates place links on their own websites that identify them but lead to the seller's website. Many large online retailers and third-party companies offer affiliate programs where web publishers can sign up, get approved, and start copying product links to paste on their own site to earn commissions if sales result.
