How can I get involved…………. 14 December 2014 4 Apprenticeships Airbus Defence and Space offer two apprenticeships: •Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship –3 years •Craft Apprenticeship –3 years Engineering Apprenticeship •A structured training and development scheme •1 full year in College (Portsmouth) •The remaining 2 years include placement blocks in business departments including Design, Manufacturing, Quality, EVT, Materials and AIT •You will also attend college in the final 2 years in ‘block releases •At the end of the apprenticeship you will have attained an HNC in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering and an NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Craft Apprenticeship •A structured hands on training and development scheme •Year 1 and 2 will include placements in key hands on Satellite manufacturing departments as well as day release at college •Year 3 will include a single placement in AIT where you will gain comprehensive knowledge of the area you’re deemed best suited and have excelled in

Graduate Programme •2 year programme •Starting salary –£26,000 + £2000 welcome payment •Yearly salary reviews throughout the programme •Combines opportunities for placements in technical or support functions with focussed training •Graduates offered placements outside of their functional area as well as abroad on detached duty •Technical training •Personal Development training •All new graduates offered the choice of 2 project teams to work on whilst on the scheme –Campus Management (centralises the business university activities and relations marketing the brand and opportunities), ArcSat(technical project to design and build a small Cubesatthat mirrors the businesses engineering processes) •Career mentors assigned to each graduate •Graduate applications open to UK and overseas candidates •All candidates must be degree qualified and be fluent in written and spoken English •Graduates must hold a minimum of a 2:2 degree in any engineering discipline dependent on the requirements of the position •No previous work experience needed 14 December 2014 6

How can I get involved…………. 14 December 2014 7 Internships Airbus Defence and Space offer Undergraduate and Postgraduate Internship positions Undergraduate Internships There will be 45 Undergraduate Intern positions available in 2015 All undergraduate internships are for Engineering positions and will be advertised throughout the year Internships can be 3 –12 months in length All Internship positions can be found at www.airbusgroup.com Postgraduate Internship Postgraduate Internships are purely for support functions including HR, Finance, Procurement and PMO There will be 5 Postgraduate Internship positions available in 2015 These positions are 24 month fixed term contracts
