Matthew Dyer left his ARC (Association of Research Centers) in San Francisco and attended the ALA (American Library Association) conference where he got involved in many new opportunities. He ended a relationship, completed leadership roles including a board presidency, participated in a leadership program, spoke on panels at conferences, bought a house, began a new relationship, joined a library science program, and joined an ALA committee. Attending the conference led to many positive changes in his life and career.
