STS Installation Located as close as possible to the tank to minimize plumbing run Dedicated pickup and return lines, separated from the fuel lines of the genset and / or other pumps Pickup tube at one end of the tank and a suction pipe as close as possible to the bottom of the tank at the deepest spot. An oversized, low restriction foot valve is recommended to keep the line primed. The return line should be placed at the farthest most point from the pick-up tube A priming-tee should be installed on the highest point of the suction line A backing wrench is required to connect to the provided pipe nipples – do not put and stress on plumbing Always comply with all applicable standards, safety guidelines as well as local, state and federal regulations.
