whom I strongly recommend to your organization. I have had the pleasure of working for Rod
since November 2014 in the Regional Sales Division. As a VP of Sales, Rod is responsible over
6 regional sales directors that manage over 35 bank relationships located in Southeast and
Midwest, including over 60 Sales Representative under his span of control.
I have had the opportunity to observe Rods professional skills as well as interpersonal style.
Rod has been a consummate leader; he means what he says and he says what he means. I
have appreciated Rods leadership this past year as mentor and motivator but also as a reliable
leader that is always there to support his team, and never hesitates to help the frontline. Rod
always takes the time to get to know his direct reports personally and he is one of those rare
leaders who understand how to balance accountability while keeping a positive environment.
He inspires trust and confidence when coaching his team and his approach has consistently
been rewarded with a great deal of discretionary effort. Rod is a consensus builder; he believes
in promoting buy-in to create that emotional, purpose driven connection to the task at hand. As
a result, Rods empowering management style has created a culture of ownership in our team
which has led to significant year over year growth in our region, as well as provided stability in
one of the highest turnover regions.
Rod simply understands how to build teams and inspire them to deliver the mission - I highly
