The ALIVE program at West City Central School aims to provide inclusive education to Muslim students. In the past year, the program enrolled 125 students across kindergarten through 6th grade, representing 100% of eligible students. However, challenges include an increasing number of Muslim pupils and out of school youth. To address this, an electronic mobile learning cart called eMOBALIVE was provided to ALIVE classrooms to make lessons more engaging with technology and encourage enrollment. While most ALIVE teachers were beginner technology users, best practices emerged such as interactive lessons and worksheets developed using eMOBALIVE. Next steps include further needs assessment, curriculum digitization, teacher ICT training, and providing additional equipment.

6. Challenges Encountered
Over the years, the number of Muslim pupils and out of school youth has increased. This calls for a
serious concern not only for their education but for the vulnerability of this young Muslims to be at risk
of recruitment to be radicalized by extremist groups like what happened in Marawi siege
7. INTERVENTION
To bridge these gaps and to ensure inclusive education for these pupils,
the research team planned of providing and bringing the ICT resources
to the ALIVE classroom in order to entice Muslim pupils to enroll in the
ALIVE program. This is done through the electronic equipment called
eMOBALIVE, a mobile electronic learning cart especially intended for
the ALIVE classes. The mobile cart contains a smart TV/ Laptop, Audio
Speakers and learning TABs containing Arabic Language and Islamic
Values Resources. The learners with android/smartphones can also
utilize eMOBALIVE through Bluetooth. ALIVE pupils also get to use the
schools Hotspot(WIFI) when we bring the eMOBALIVE cart to the main
building.
