 This is the symbol used to represent
communism: The hammer and the
stickle.
 The hammer is for the workers while
the stickle is for the farm labourers,
or fairly known as peasants.
 This was used to show union
between the two classes as
communism was pro equality.
WHAT IS COMMUNISM?
 Communism is a government where people shared work evenly
fairly and were paid equally.
 The word communism is derived from the Latin word communis,
which means common or belonging to all.
 By other authors, communism can be described as an economic
system where everything is shared equally amongst every citizen.
HISTORY OF COMMUNISM
 The investors of a communist system believed that there was an unequal balance
within the people in the economy.
 The richer got rich, while the poorer remained poor.
 To balance the ratio, they decided to make everything equal.
 It was first proposed in Greece as a typical brainstorm idea.

 USSR: Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
 The USSR was a communist party formed in December 1922
 Communism opened a friendship between the U.S. and Russia, which was
motivated by struggle of capitalism.

 Karl Marx.
 He believed communism was the
solution to capitalisms problems.
 He believed the workers would get
fed up of capitalism and overthrow
the government, thus leading to the
start of capitalism.
ADVANTAGES OF COMMUNISM
 Everyone would be able to achieve their goals.
 There would be no inequality or division.
 Everyone would have the same access to essential services.
 Basic needs for all citizens would be accomplished.
DISADVANTAGES OF COMMUNISM
 No reward for hard workers.
 The economy would be static.
 No one would be encouraged to work.
