The alleged lover of a missing pregnant wife of a U.S. Marine stationed in Southern California, Erin Corwin, has been arrested in Alaska on a federal warrant related to her disappearance and suspected killing. Christopher Brandon Lee was arrested in Anchorage on Sunday night. Court documents indicate that Lee was Corwin's lover and she had planned to meet him for a hunting trip before she went missing on June 28th. Cynthia Kott, a booking clerk at the Anchorage Correctional Complex, said Monday that Cpl. Christopher Brandon Lee was arrested at 10 p.m. Sunday. A law enforcement official who was not authorized to speak before a noon news conference and requested anonymity said the arrest was in the killing of Corwin. Court papers show Lee was the lover of 20-year-old Erin Corwin, who disappeared June 28 after leaving her Twentynine Palms home. Corwin had planned to meet Lee for a hunting trip. Marine Cpl. Jonathan Corwin reported his wife missing the next day. Lee was arrested July 4 after a search warrant was served at a home in Yucca Valley and then released on bail two days later, the San Bernardino Sheriffs Department said in a statement. One day later, he was honorably discharged after serving for six years in the Marine Corps, the Desert Sun reported. An affidavit says the investigation was focused on Lee.
