Accountabilities Sourcing / Procurement:  Handling sourcing through identification of cost effective suppliers for procurement of raw materials – alloy steel forgings, ferrous and non-ferrous castings, pipes, Sheet metal parts, finished machined spares, bought out components for assembly & machine tooling’s with quality, reliability in supply.  Responsible for conducting and managing a complete procurement cycle for clients through planning, RFI/RFQ, evaluation, supplier assessment, contracting, contract management and administration.  Finalize and release orders with all negotiated terms with proper authorization as per company policy.  Release order by making a comparative statement of enquired details, negotiate with suppliers for pricing, delivery lead time and payment terms without compromising Quality through proper authorization as per company policy.  Coordinate with the quality department to conduct quality check and on approval the material with conformity certificate and safe packing.  Initiated key activities of Expediting Report Key Dates, Supplier Document Schedule and review Expediting Report highlighting exceptions to Supplier contract regarding delivery schedules for materials and documents.  Budgeting funds for procurement of materials ensuring optimum utilization of materials & maximum cost savings.  Generate MIS reports on Budget Vs Actual for scheduled monthly meeting with Top management. Material Planning/Inventory Management:  Generate monthly and long-term material requirements forecast to facilitate the purchase and delivery of all ordered materials.  Tracking and maintaining inventory levels in the stores for all items required in the plant for production and release purchase orders at the re order level.  Efficiently managing the inventory levels, for ensuring ready availability of material to meet production and dispatch targets.  Analyze parts master data on pricing for cost reduction through development of alternate suppliers, Alternate materials, Comparative Study and Market price benchmarking.  Successfully implement inventory control measures to reduce obsolete stock, track slow-moving items in the system and promote liquidating schemes.  Review and analyze Material Management, Project procurement, Procurement Plan detail, other project specific plans, flowcharts for completeness and identify gaps. Vendor Management:  Vendor Assessment done to check their facilities, capacity, man power, flexibility in meeting our production demands and in compliance with Company's policy.  Coordinate with the vendors to ensure 100 % on time material delivery with proper follow up plan and ensure all relevant test certificates, manuals and documents pre-approved by Quality inspector then arrange for delivery.
