AMEC Paragon, a subsidiary of AMEC, received the AVEVA "Engineering Excellence to the Extreme" award for its Integrated Project Execution (IPE) work process. IPE allowed for effective collaboration across teams and locations, delivering significant cost savings including a 20% reduction in field welds and a 50% reduction in procurement man-hours. AVEVA recognized AMEC Paragon for engineering excellence demonstrated on multiple energy industry projects.

AMEC Paragon recognized for engineering excellence AVEVA award applauds superior work processes HOUSTON (January 7, 2008) AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, today announced that Houston-based subsidiary AMEC Paragon recently received the AVEVA Engineering Excellence to the Extreme award for its Integrated Project Execution (IPE), a work process that has enabled measurement and delivery of outstanding time and cost savings across multiple projects. AMEC Paragon and DuPont, the 2007 award recipients, were recognized at AVEVAs Engineering Symposium for Engineering IT (ISEIT) for their engineering excellence and problem-solving abilities in process plant and marine projects.
