This document is a nomination form for the 2010 Eli Segal Award, which recognizes outstanding entrepreneurial spirit and innovation in national service. The form provides instructions for nominees to submit their contact information, a description of their project or organization, and narrative responses that address how their work demonstrates vision, community building, connecting people, active service, humility, community impact, use of technology, and sustainability. Nominees are also instructed to submit at least one letter of endorsement by the stated deadline.

All fields must be completed in order to evaluate your nomination. Please fill out the entire
nomination form below.

How has the nominee demonstrated outstanding vision with regard to innovative
approaches in building community through service? How did the nominee realize his/her
vision despite barriers or difficult odds?

AmeriCorps Alums movement?

6. Letters of Endorsement
Letters of endorsement play an important role in determining the strength of a nomination. While
only one letter is required, multiple letters of endorsement will be accepted. All letters of
endorsement must include the nominees name and contact information and should be submitted by
the endorser to EliSegalAward@americorpsalums.org. Letters of endorsement should address the
aforementioned judging criteria.
Letters of endorsement must be RECEIVED by 5pm EST on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 via email to
be considered. Email to: elisegalaward@americorpsalums.org with the candidates name in the
subject line like this:

Marketing/Promotional Samples
Brochures, flyers, or other promotional material may be sent electronically with the Nomination
form via email. Be sure each document is labeled with the type of sample, the organization/project
name and the nominees name like this:
