Camp David Accords Egypt has always hated Israel since its formation in 1948. The two had fought all the way until 1973. In 1977 the two countries decided to try to negotiate a peace treaty. President Jimmy Carter invited the two leaders to Camp David, a president retreat, were the three leaders decided on a peace treaty.
PERSIAN GULF WAR The conflict of the Persian Gulf war began when Iraq invaded Kuwait on August 2nd, 1990. It was a very short war as the Iraqi forces agreed to a cease fire on March 3rd, 1991.
CAUSES OF THE PERSIAN GULF WAR Iraq demanded that Kuwait be apart of Iraq. Also, they were trying to tap into the oil fields of the desert, but were pushed out by the U.S. forces. Due to that, they set the oil fields on fire as they fled out.
U.S. ACTIONS U.S. forces took action into seeking that it was impossible for the Iraqi forces to invade Saudi Arabia
George H. W. Bush George H. W. Bush is the father of the 43 rd  president George W. Bush. George H. W. Bush was president from Jan 20 th  1989-Jan 20 th  1993. He was the president at the time of the Persian Gulf war. He was the last world war 2 veteran to serve as a president.
Saddam Hussein Saddam Hussein was the 5 th  president of Iraq, July 16 th   1979-April 9 th  2003. He maintained power through the Iran-Iraq war, also the Persian Gulf war. Saddam Hussein was captured by the U.S .on Dec. 13 th  2003 (through the war in Iraq) and was executed on Dec. 30 th  2006. He was executed because he executed 148 Iraqi Shiites, that were planning an assassination plot against him.
War on Terrorism War on terrorism was believed to be started after the September 11 th  attack on the twin towers. The war is still going on today.
Bosnia and Serbia Bosnia and Serbia emerged as countries after the break up of Yugoslavia. After this happened one of the worst genocides in Bosnian history happened.
Genocide in Bosnia Serbia attacked and killed around 200,000 Bosnians and Croatians because of their ethnic difference. Serbians thought that their ethnicity was more superior to the others.
NATO bombs Serbia was a sustained air campaign conducted by the North-Atlantic military organization (NATO) to undermine the military capability of the Bosnian Serb Army who threatened and attacked UN-designated "safe areas" in Bosnia. The operation was carried out between August 30 and September 20, 1995, involving 400 aircraft and 5000 personnel from 15 nations.
Liberals (Democrats) Liberals believe that there should be government intervention in businesses Liberal policies generally emphasize the need for the government to solve people's problems.
Conservatives (Republicans) Believe that there should be tax cuts for citizens to spend money to expand our economy. They believe in laissez-faire, were the government keeps out of businesses.
