This document provides an update on the Annual Media and Technology Report (AMTR) with the following key points:
1. The AMTR is open year-round and requires an NCID login for all users to access it. LEA administrators can enter and modify LEA and school data and sign off on all school reports.
2. Each LEA has an administrator who can modify school data while each school has its own administrator who can only modify its own school's data. Personnel supporting multiple schools choose the LEA administrator role.
3. There are no changes to the questions this year as the AMTR is transitioning to version 3.0. Ebooks and mobile devices like iP
2. • Open Year Round
• NCID Log in is required for everyone filling out
the AMTR
– Please contact your LEA NCID Administrator to set
up your NCID Log in
• Once your NCID Log in is set, you will be able
to subscribe to the AMTR.
3. • Each LEA has an LEA Administrator
– LEA Administrators will be able to enter LEA data
and modify school data.
– LEA Administrators will be able to sign off on all
school reports in addition to the principal
– Personnel that support several schools will choose
the LEA Administrator role
• Each school has a school administrator
– School administrators will be able to enter only
their schools data
4. • New questions
– Because of the impending AMTR 3.0 – there are
no question changes for this year.
– Ebooks should be counted the same way LEA’s
counted them last year
– iPads, Tablets and other iOS devices will go in
question 109 again this year.
5. • Process for updating your school staff changes
– Send an excel spreadsheet with all of your schools
include the school administrators name and
school principals name.
– Save the spreadsheet as Perfect_012.xls
