The document discusses prototyping and is divided into three parts. It introduces prototyping as an iterative process to test ideas and choose the best path. Different types of prototypes are suited for different purposes based on factors like the target group, environment, platform, time, and desired outcome. Examples will be shared of prototyping work done for clients in various industries. The final part will be a case study of a service design prototyping exercise.

3. Introduction
Ocean Observations
in 30 sec!
Ocean Observations¡¯ redesign of the Android UI, helped
our client Japanese operator KDDI break the pre-order
record of smartphones in Japanese history. Being 5 times
more popular than the runner up Samsung Galaxy.
Hard-to-use and meaningless products are bad for
business. With help from insights about users of services
and products as well as technology & market trends we
come up with design strategies and UI design that makes
digital services easier to use and more lovable.
We create meaningful interactions with and for brands all
over the world. Besides KDDI we have helped for
example ABB design more secure control systems to be
used in areas like nuclear power plants, and made sure
Skype had a coherent experience across mobile
platforms at launch.
No use, no gain. Our design services will help you win!
