A history in six objetcs

Funerary masks:
These fantastic and expensive objects represent the power and the
traditions of the ancient egypt. Their beliefs in life after death were
reflected in this mask, the king Tut’s mask, the almighty Paraoh.
Coffins
ï‚› The egyptians adored several gods, from the sun to
Anubis, but the most interesting cult is their cult to the
death.
They strongly believed in life after death and that is
the reason why they built many impressive burial
monuments like the pyramids.
The pharaoh and the royal family members were almost
the only who could afford such burial constructions, luxury
coffins and the mummyfication process.
Hieroglyphs
ï‚› The ancient egyptian written system which can be
found inside the burial monuments like pyramids and
inside the elite and royal family members.
ï‚› This written system was used for rituals and for tell the
history of the pharaohs.
The bust of Nefertiti
ï‚› This is a great example of the Egyptian art,
this bust was sculpted by the artist called
Thutmose, it represents the queen Nefertiti.
Simply is a masterpiece of the ancient
Egyptian art.
The Egyptian Gods
ï‚› Having several gods to adore, the egyptian
represented their gods in monuments and in
little figures and amulets like these.
ï‚› Their god Anubis and the Horus eye.
The Rosetta Stone
ï‚› Discovered in the eighteen century by french troops under the
command of Napoleon Bonaparte, was the key for decode
the hieroglyphs found all over the ancient egyptians buldings
and monuments.
ï‚› This stone has a translation from the ancient egyptian written
language to the greek, which was the last sponken language
in the greco-roman period of the ancient egyptian culture.
