Earth needs your help! Constitution of India Article 51 A g   It shall be the fundamental duty of every citizen of India to protect and improve the natural environment including lakes, rivers, and wildlife and to have compassion for all living creatures.
So why should we protect nature, insects, birds and animals?
Ants? Lizards? Bats? What good could they do?
What about birds? Natures Forest Officers, Natures insect control
The best you can do for them is?
Important points Birds are not pets, they are meant to be free. Do not imprison them in cages. Never disturb a nest- you could end up in jail! If the nest falls , pick it up and put it back in the tree. If the baby falls  pick it up and put it back in the tree. Avoid watching it or the mother will be afraid to come back. Avoid use of insecticides- they kill birds Never harm or hurt birds with catapults or sticks , stones etc. Never buy them from pet stores Avoid using glass coated manja when flying kites- birds can get badly injured Keep the tel nos. of your local animal welfare organizations for further help.

Starting an ABC Programme in your community: Befriend and count local dogs Call GHMC (040-24617017) to have them caught and taken to Blue Cross in batches. The healthy dogs will be sterilsed and vaccinated They will be returned to protect your community The puppies will be put up for adoption Volunteer to keep an eye on the ABC dogs and inform the community of their safety.

Remove Garbage - Remove Strays Reduce Reuse Recycle Refuse Separate garbage Wet Waste  (Kitchen waste) Dry Waste Toxic waste kills everyone!

What can you do to help animals: Feed and support homeless animals- have them sterilised and vaccinated against Rabies Separate garbage / Recycle garbage  Avoid Plastic Bags , disposable plastics Use  only bio degradable items Avoid Poisons , use non toxic alternatives Avoid pollution of any kind Plant Indigenous Trees Support your local animal / environmental group Spread awareness by taking about it
