The Africa Rice Center is seeking a consultant to assess ecosystem services in inland valleys in West Africa. The consultant will analyze ecosystem services in Benin, Mali, Sierra Leone and Liberia at various scales. This will include assessing provisioning, regulating and cultural services and their importance at different levels. The consultant will develop an implementation plan, conduct surveys and interviews, create databases, analyze results, write a report, and submit a publication to a peer-reviewed journal. The position requires experience assessing ecosystem services and fluency in English or French.
