Shield Spill Repellent How to apply Shield Spill Repellent to any kind of fabric (paper etc.)and make it spill repellent, stain proof, dust resistant etc. etc. (Any material that can absorb chemical can be made spill repellent). 1. Items you should have 1
Shield Spill Repellent Contd . 1. i.Chemical ii. Spray machine (available at Most hardware stores) iii. Open space which is duly ventilated iv. Away from electrical points (as chemical is flammable) and other flammable items. 2
Shield Spill Repellent Contd . 2. Open chemical can, shake it well and pour Chemical in the spray machine Pump up pressure. 3
Shield Spill Repellent Contd . 3. Test on a small piece of fabric, spray and ensure it is color fast i.e. color does not bleed. Once dry, test for spill repellence with a water drop 4
Shield Spill Repellent Contd . 4. Once tested, keep the fabric ready for treatment and ensure it is dust free. If needed, vacuum clean it. 5
Shield Spill Repellent Contd . 5. start the treatment, spray chemical on the fabric moving nozzle at least three to four times to ensure fabric is well and evenly wet. One litre of chemical should give approx. 80 sft. of coverage of 250gsm fabric. Lighter fabric will get more coverage and heavier one less. 6
Shield Spill Repellent Contd . 6. Leave the fabric to dry for at least one hour at room temperature. 7. Fabric has been treated. Once dry, roll it back. It can now be put to normal use in production after three hours though technically drying process would complete after 24 hours. 7
