Brazil is a large country in South America with over 195 million inhabitants and 27 states. Portuguese is the official language and some typical foods include rice and beans, acai, and feijoada. Popular sports are volleyball, soccer, which Brazil has won the World Cup in five times, and Brazil will host the Olympic Games in 2016 and World Cup in 2014. Famous cities include Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Brasilia, and Foz do Iguaçu. Typical music and dances include samba and capoeira. The Amazon rainforest and Pantanal wetlands are home to diverse wildlife.
