This document is a module from a Technical Course in Telecommunications from the Redentorista Technical School in Campina Grande, Brazil from April 2015. It discusses telephone and data networks, the classic telecommunication system and connections, the Voice over IP concept in two parts, advantages of IP-telephony in two parts, worries about IP-telephony, and the field of applications of IP-PBXs in two parts. The module was prepared by a team of 6 students and their professor Fernanda Almeida.
