2. The truth
about alcohol
– BBC
documentary
• This programme shows the negative
effects of alcohol on the body. As well
as this it informs the audience on the
amount of units is in certain alcoholic
drinks. There is also an experiment of
the effects of drinking at alcohol, for
example clumsiness.
• Even though it is representing the
negatives of alcoholism it explains it is
okay in moderation.
3. Old Before
My Time
• This documentary shows young people
who drink excessive amounts of
alcohol. I would say this is a negative
representation of young people.
• Its suggesting that young people are
not educated enough to drink in
moderation.
4. How Beer
Saved the
world
• This documentary is more light-
hearted and describes beer as a great
invention. Beer is described as being a
part of history and the participants of
the documentary all think of the drink
as a positive thing.
5. Louis
Theroux –
drinking to
oblivion
• This features a video ofTheroux
interviewing a young alcoholic, this
shows the harsh reality of the addiction
and is upsetting because Joe. (the
alcoholic) is so young.
• The show presents with people
struggling with addiction. It shows the
extremely bad side of alcoholism if it
becomes out of control.
