The Georgian Triangle Humane Society held an Evening of Excellence on April 20th to recognize outstanding contributions from volunteers. The event celebrated National Volunteer Week and thanked volunteers for their support and dedication. Sonya Reichel, the Executive Director, stated that the volunteers are the "heartbeat" of the organization and that they could not survive without them. Twelve volunteers who have served for 10 years were specially recognized and added to a new Wall of Excellence at the animal shelter.
