Battlefield Palette
This palette is made out of mudstone.
It was originally made for everyday
use and eventually for events in BC
times. There is relative size shown on
here, perhaps to put emphasis on
          leaders or worshipped figures such
as the eagle and the lion. Because
of the early years this was made in,
no one really knows too much about
it. There are some pieces missing,
but if these were used in events then
it's safe to assume that these palettes
told a story of war whether it wass a
myth story or actual event. There is
also great precision of the animals
and humans drawn on the palette.
Caryatid from the Erechtheion
This is a 3D sculpture from a temple
in Greece. This woman, also known
as a Caryatid, served as a support in
               the temple. There's a cultural
reference to this. the woman stands
tall and firm. There is vertical balance
in this sculpture. She doesn't have
any special clothing on; just simple
clothes. The shift of weight achieves
balance to the viewer which perhaps
               makes this sculpture have vertical
               balance as well.

This is an example of watercolor and graphite. The colors
used seem to be of a neutral blend, with the sky taking up
most of the workspace. Relative size is used here again
because the people are small signaling that they seem to
be far. The waves have a bigger size compared to the
people because the waves are closer to the viewer. The
color scheme shown here can be the color of the sky
which goes with the neutral blend of colors; it is what
catches the viewers attention first and then makes its way
down to the smaller details such as the people.
Por linage de ebros
This image has contrast of light and
dark colors. The focal point can be
seen in the middle where the man
wearing the cone shaped hat is
wearing lighter clothing than the rest.
There is reason for this as the man in
the hat is being imprisoned for being
          of Jewish descent. Goya used
contrast in colors to emphasize the
scenario in this painting. There are
more in the faint background but the
          dark colors represent the emotion
          being felt.
