On April 27th, 2011, a massive tornado hit Tuscaloosa, Alabama, destroying homes and lives. The author wrote a song called "Ashley's Song" in tribute to their brave sister Ashley who survived the tornado, and to honor those who did not. The song expresses the bond of family and love between siblings, saying the singer will always be there for their sister as someone to cry with, laugh with, or just be with without words, because as family they love each other.

Ashley's song
1. On a Wednesday afternoon on April 27th, 2011, a massive tornado hit Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Lives were lost, homes destroyed. All I could think about was if my angel was okay. I wrote this song in tribute to the bravery my baby sister, Ashley, showed that day And in honor of those who didn't escape the horrors of April 27th.

"If you ever need a shoulder to cry on, I am here for you, if you ever need someone to laugh, and share memories with, I am here for you, if you ever just want someone there without ever saying a word, I am here for you, because in the truth of it all, I will one day need you for those very same things, and you know why it would be easy, because dear sister of mine, we're family, and I love you" A very special thank you to Josh Patrick of Standard Candle.. You & your lovely bride mean the world to me. Thank you Josh for singing my song.
