The Association of Asian/Pacific Islander Employees of CDC/ATSDR (AAPIECA)
The mission of AAPIECA is to serve as a network for Asian/Pacific Islander (API)
employees and as a resource to CDC/ATSDR. AAPIECA specific purposes are:
 To address public health issues relevant to the needs of API Americans;
 To enhance recruitment, improve career development, provide professional support,
and mentoring and retention of API employees;
 To serve as a communication liaison between API employees and the CDC/ATSDR
management;
 To advocate equal employment opportunities and other work-related issues for API
employees;
 To promote a better understanding of and appreciation for the diverse API cultures
among CDC/ATSDR employees.
