GCMMF was initially established in 1946 as the Kaira District Co-operative to manage milk collection and distribution in Gujarat. It has since expanded to include over 2.6 million milk producers and 13,328 village collection centers that supply 14 district-level dairies. The project involves creating an asset register and evaluating asset depreciation for GCMMF, which distributes finished dairy goods across six regions in India through various depots. Suggestions include adopting uniform data handling practices across depots.
